Committees
Since the 1980´s, Sister Cities has built people-to-people solidarity relationships between the United States and El Salvador. These relationships are the core of our work and the foundation upon which we work for human rights, social justice, and cultural exchange. This important work happens through hundreds of dedicated volunteers in cities around the United States who maintain “sistering” relationships with Salvadoran communities. Click on a committee to learn more and to contact them!
There are 17 sister city committees, and each one has a different structure and focus. Among our network we have one radio, one organic farming association and many groups of solidarity activists committed to connecting issues in their sister communities with the issues in their communities. Our committees support the work of CRIPDES’ regional organizing staff, scholarship programs, and local development and organizing projects in their sister communities.
